STUDIES & RESULTS
When it comes to honey bee health, we wanted to make sure we got it right. Over the past 3 years, we’ve conducted the largest field trials in beekeeping history. See below for summaries of the results.
For an in-depth look at the science behind the studies, click the button below:
Mar 2015 – Jun 2015
“Genome Analysis of Honey Bee Nutrition with HB™”
Results showed HB™ upregulated several bee genes, suggesting HB™ increases a honey bee’s ability to detoxify toxins and fight infections.
“Lab Trials for HB™ Antioxidant Capacity”
Results demonstrated that HB™ had as much as 38 times more antioxidant activity than a leading bee food supplement. This high antioxidant capacity helps decrease oxidative stress in bees exposed to pesticides.
Dec 2017 – Jan 2018
“Test of HB™ Efficacy against Varroa Mite”
Results demonstrated that HB™ was 45% more effective at controlling the Varroa mite than formic acid (a common treatment currently used to control Varroa).
NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY (ARGENTINA)
Apr 2017 – Sept 2018
“Comprehensive Multi-site Field Trial of HB™”
Results have exceeding expectations, including a substantial stimulant effect that made 50% more brood frames and 150% more bees.
Aug 2017 - Sept 2018
“Comprehensive 10 Site Nationwide Field Trial of HB™”
Results are increased brood counts and a 79.7% annual varroa suppression.
"HB™ BIP Field Trial"
HB™ as a varroa control product performed no different than the 2 legal varroacides (Apivar, Formic Acid) used as controls in this trial.
sperimentale lazio e toscana
Dec 2017 - Dec 2019
“Lab Cage Tests and Blind Field Trials to Measure HB™ Efficacy”
Results to date are exceeding expectations, including 100% reduction of the Varroa mite and Nosema in lab cage tests.
